"JUST A DOG" By Richard A. Biby Broken Arrow, Oklahoma
From time to time, people tell me, "Lighten up, it's just a Dog," or, "That's a lot of money for just a dog." They don't understand the distance traveled, the time spent, or The costs involved for "just a dog." Some of my proudest moments have come about with "just a dog." Many hours have passed and my only company was "just a dog," but I did not once feel slighted. Some of my saddest moments have been brought about by "just a Dog," and in those days of darkness, the gentle touch of "just a dog" Gave me comfort and reason to overcome the day. If you, too, think it's "just a dog," then you will probably Understand phases like "just a friend," "just a sunrise," or "just a Promise." "Just a dog" brings into my life the very essence of friendship, Trust, and pure unbridled joy. "Just a dog" brings out the compassion and patience that make me A better person. Because of "just a dog" I will rise early, take Long walks and look longingly to the future. So for me and folks like me, it's not "just a dog" but an Embodiment of all the hopes and dreams of the future, the fond Memories of the past, and the pure joy of the moment. "Just a dog" brings out what's good in me and diverts my Thoughts away from myself and the worries of the day. I hope that someday they can understand that it's not "just a Dog" but the thing that gives me humanity and keeps me from being "just a human." So the next time you hear the phrase "just a dog." just smile, Because they "just don't understand."

Zephyr was born on February 3, 2004, to the proud parents of Puddleducks Mallard Drake and Sunnyside Utah Jazz. She soon left the litter to live with her new parents, Aaron and Lori Clark of Etna. Zephyr has successfully completed many rounds of obedience training at Green Acres Kennel Shop where she has made many friends—both canine and human. To unwind, Zephyr enjoys hiking and camping with her family. Zephyr’s sweet and gentle disposition, high level of intelligence, and her eagerness to please has allowed her to pass the Canine Good Citizen and Therapy Dog International tests her first try. Zephyr loves kids and certainly makes an impression on everyone she meets.

This is “JD”. He is our constant companion and “shadow”. He is the offspring of “Greta” and “Razor” from Settlers West Wind Kennels in Orrington, Maine.
We are delighted with “JD’s” manners, personality and intelligence. He is trained to be our companion and takes his job seriously. He is the ultimate people lover and greets everyone he sees warmly. Whether it is the UPS delivery person, the mailman, the neighbors or family members, everyone gets the same happy energetic tail wagging greeting.
“JD” has gone back to Settlers West Wind Kennels several times on vacation. Each time he has become a member of Tom and Kathy’s family.
We would highly recommend the Hartley’s and their Kennel to anyone interested in obtaining an above quality dog.

Hello Tom and Kathy,
I'm sure you don't remember our family as you deal with so many people, but I wanted to write you and let you know what a WONDERFUL dog we purchased from you. We got Buddy in March of 2005 and he immediately became a part of our family. He has been a great family dog as well as a wonderful hunting dog. Kathy, your expertise was evident when you helped guide us to the PERFECT dog for our family. Thank you very much because Buddy has added so much to our lives.
